A. Brunner

Brunner ‘s stylistic approach was very influenced by the Fauve painters in France, especially Vlaminck and Derain. His thick application of pigment, combined with his juxtaposition of vivid colors adds vibrancy and movement to the overall composition.

He primarily depicted scenes from the Mediterranean coastline, whose luminosity and calm, transparent waters inspired an entire generation of European artists.
